Is a membership required to shoot at Range 1? No. Range 1 is open to the public during normal business hours. Non-members are charged $15.00 per DAY to shoot at the range. We do NOT charge by the hour like most other establishments. You can shoot from open to closing time for $15.00! Yes we can. You have two choices: 1) We can assist you zero the rifle at a cost of $15.00. This option includes your target and a spotting scope if you need it. The price is in addition to the normal shooting fee. 2) Attend the 4 hour "Hunters Scope Zero" course for $50.00 offered prior to hunting season. Note: We teach the "one shot - one kill" concept. We will show you how to apply several crucial marksmanship principles to accomplish this.
Can I get a 300 yard zero at your range? Yes you can. We do not have a 300 yard line but some simple math will tell you where to place the bullet at 100 yards to get a 300 yard zero. You will need to know the muzzle velocity of the ammunition you are using and if possible - the ballistic coefficient of the bullet. Even using factory default measurements we can get you to within 1 inch of where you want to be at 300 yards.
Do you sell ammunition at the range? Yes, we stock and sell all popular caliber and gauges of ammunition. We do not stock "exotic" ammunition or calibers that are not generally available. We have lots of 38 Special, 357 Magnum, 45 ACP, 40 S&W etc.... If you need some 454 Casull or 375 JDJ we don't usually stock it but we can certainly order it for you.
Do you offer custom training packages? Yes we do. Please give us a call to discuss your request. We also offer large and small business discounts.
Yes we do. We also have husband/wife and small group training. All of the offered or custom classes may taken privately or as husband/wife or small group. The fee for private training is $35.00/person/hour. If courses are taken privately we can assure 70% hits at 15 yards after 1 hour.
Are your instructors certified? Our instructors are fully certified to teach the courses listed. Please visit the Staff page on this web site to view the individual instructor profiles.
Can I shoot in the shoot-house? You must have had prior tactical training provided to you by either a Law Enforcement Agency, the military or Range 1 Instructors AND you must perform a diagnostic evaluation conducted by Range 1 staff prior to shooting in the shoot-house.

Yes we can. We perform parts changeouts, rebarrel etc. We can make custom Tactical CAR-15's w/rail systems if you want one. Please note that we can explain to you the difference between PRE/POST BAN receivers and what is allowed by law to either one. We will NOT violate Federal, State or Local laws.
We are a stocking retailer. We are a small shop but we can order whatever you need at a considerable cost savings to you.
Do you have a "law-away" policy? Yes we do. Our terms are 50% down, 60 days to pay off and pick up.
Can I fire automatic firearms at the range? You may fire your automatic firearm at the range provided you have the proper federal license, paperwork and the range discipline required. We allow controlled burst fire from the shoulder. No hip shooting is allowed for ANY type of weapon. This is a safety issue.
Can my less than 18 year old child go to the range and zero a rifle? Federal and State law require that minors be supervised at all times while around or handling firearms.
Range 1 has a snack bar and microwave oven for microwave type services. Soft drinks are also available. You are welcome to pack you own food with you and use the picnic area if you wish.
Can my children come with me to the range? Range 1 believes in the family concept. We have horseshoe pits and picnic areas - BUT we are a shooting range. Parents are 100% responsible at all times for their children while on the property. State and Federal law requires that minors MUST be supervised at all times around firearms.
Can I order gun parts through your gun shop? Yes. We can order you any parts you need. Please remember that some hard to find parts take time but we can find most of them and will be glad to fill your phone orders by mail.
Do I have to pick up my own brass after I shoot? No, but there will be a $5.00 charge if you just don't want to clean up after yourself. However, you should be responsible and help keep the range neat and tidy for others to enjoy. |
